Middle Manager Stress

Who is it aimed at?
This programme is designed for people who occupy middle management positions and face the often competing demands of top level executives and lower level employees.

Why do I need it?
Middle managers are crucial to the success of most organisations. However, the stress and strain of balancing the competing demands from upper and lower level employees can leave middle managers burned out and too stressed to function at their best.

What will I get out of it?
You will:

  • Understand the motivations of top level people how they may be in conflict with your own
  • Discover that  status and power is based on perception, not reality
  • Learn that satisfying  lower level demands on you is not the answer
  • Learn how to see the organisation as a system and where and how to play your part
  • Learn how to think about your own values, how they were formed and how they may cause you more stress than anything else
  • Learn to manage yourself so that can you can balance the competing needs of those around you including family.

What is it about?

  • This programme allows plenty of opportunity to explore middle management issues
  • What drives you or is important to you as an individual
  • What drives others who depend and rely on you ( and what doesn’t)
  • Why difficult people are difficult and  what  you can do to help them and yourself
  • Survival toolkit: being challenged, stressed and managing your own and others reactions.

Participants will be challenged through role play and delegates use a case study from their own workplace to develop a series of actions to take back to the workplace to help bring a sense of order and control.
